Televangelist suggests illness is divine punishment for ‘dividing God’s land’
NORFOLK, Va. - Christian broadcaster Pat Robertson suggested Thursday that Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s stroke was divine punishment for “dividing God’s land.”
“God considers this land to be his,” Robertson said on his TV program “The 700 Club.” “You read the Bible and he says ‘This is my land,’ and for any prime minister of Israel who decides he is going to carve it up and give it away, God says, ‘No, this is mine.”’ FULL STORY
I will dance a happy dance and sing songs of praise when Pat Robertson and his kind are no longer here on this earth to spread hate.

I read this and some other news about nut cases that are celebrating Sharon's demise. Don't get me wrong, I got nothing nice to say about Sharon's policies, and I would LOVE to see him out of Israeli politics HOWEVER this kind of personal bile is, well, come ON.
ReplyDeleteWe learn, as little kids, that the suffering of anyone, even that of our enemies, diminishes life for everyone. It's a story we tell at Passover every year. You know, it's a whole BIBLICAL sort of story. Hello, Pat, the BIBLE? HELLO?
